So I've been a terrible deviant-arter, but a better blogger.  Not sure that's going to change anytime soon.  So until I change my wicked ways, here's my blog :)

Hey there for those who follow, Iain McCaig's blog FINALLY has work on it.  Not only that, he says the website is almost ready too.  Now this guy is amazing, my favorite illustrator ever and a big reason why I do what I do.  I will work with him one day.  One day, until then, enjoy :)

Want to meet an insecure artist and experience a real life awkward situation?  Then come meet me at the Phoenix Comicon this year!  This is my first booth and I will be selling my first* issue of my comic "Strange Streets!"  Will also be showing off my portfolio, selling prints and hopefully a sketchbook.  I haven't updated my page in a while but I've hunkered down fueling on raw coookie dough, orange juice and copious amounts of head cheese in order to get some work done and sell at the con this year.  So please stop by and say hi, I really am a very nice person,  I swear.  My booth is called Arrogant Lampshade(I have no idea) and it's booth T25 for those who will be in the area...inside the convention center I suppose....  I'll be drawing for those who want drawings and taking commissions so hope you stop by May 27th - 30th and check me out and see what I'm up to!  :D

Also, I'm going to be sharing the booth with two amazing artists.  Please stop over on their deviant art pages and tell them how incredible they are.  Like me, they bust their asses doing what they love and it shows. :)

It's just simple photos so far, a little boring at the moment but hopefully will pick up along the way.  So stop on by, or not, whatever, see what I'm doing over there and thanks for looking! :D

So here's my beef with most movie trailers, they show too much and have hellacious music. >.< If I see one more horror trailer with metal riffs, I'm gonna puke.  I mean it may seem silly but they can be art in themselves.  Don't get me wrong! A ton of them still get me as giddy as a school girl to see them but here are some of my favorite trailers, images and music without giving away hardly anything but a feeling of "what the hell was that?"  "I dunno, but it was cool, right?"  "Yeah it was cool." :D :D

I mean some of these trailers creep me out way more than most horror movies now!

And dont even get me started on most movie posters these days....

These things are friggin fantastic.  They make them out of real bugs and use pocketwatch parts.  Neato!

Oh and I just discovered my new favorite artist, Sergio Toppi.  I guess he's been around for a while since he's in his 70s but he's new to me!  And Burton is putting out a big art book later this year so heads up for that!  :D

So this is pretty cool.  I'm not a big Dali fan but I am a big Disney fan, and the guy could paint.  Plus the images with the music really is amazing.

It's an interesting mix of 2d and 3d and overall it's neat, like if Lynch did a cartoon(except for Dumbland), but softened up.  Maybe it would've been neat to see if Bill Plympton, Peter Chung or Sam Keith had animated it somehow.

The post has a bunch of cool info about it so definitely read up on it!  I almost want it to go crazier and balls to the wall batty! But it is beautiful... :D

And happy late Canada Day to my Canadian family members...all one of you.

UPDATE:  So this is supposedly being released next year with the DVDS of the Fantasias, which is good in itself because all I have is a crappy VHS copy. :(

Well, I've been thinking about doing commissions so I guess if you want to pay me to draw you a picture, then, by golly, I'll do it! So I guess just message me and we'll work something out. And if not, that's ok too but not nearly as ok as the other thing.
